Run and not grow weary

This was the unspoken theme verse from my year as an RA. One of my fellow RAs even wrote a song to go along with it that I can still sing (though not well, so don’t expect a video blog [vlog – aak] any time soon). Clearly we needed reminding that we could not do it all on our own and that if we only looked to God, He would give us the strength we needed to make it through.

Oh to feel like you are soaring with the eagles and to run and never tire. Someday.

A child

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

A prayer for those we love

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Placing Trust

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,

Direction

A person’s steps are directed by the Lord.
How then can anyone understand his own way?

In his heart a man plans his course,
but the Lord determines his steps.

Many are the plans in a man’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
